Russian ruble rises 20% vs US dollar, 25% vs euro in 2016
MOSCOW, Jan 9 (PRIME) -- The exchange rate of the Russian ruble rose 20.1% against the U.S. dollar in 2016 to 61.27 rubles at the closing of the last trading session on December 30, 2016 and 24.7% against the euro to 64.52, according to data of the Moscow Exchange.
The ruble was at its lowest on January 21, 2016 when it rated at 86 against the dollar and 93.7 against the euro, which was by about 14% lower than at the end of 2015.
The highest rate was registered in December, 2016: the ruble was 60.1075 against the dollar and 62.46 against the euro.
